we have already had a glue job script (csv to parquet transforming). But lambda function is for sending an alert message to Slack.

Glue jobs help us with ETL stuff. That's why we used the lambda function.

If you want to send an alert message via cloudwatch. You can create an alert on cloudwatch screen and also you can send an alert message via cloudwatch. But you also need lambda function to trigger.

If you want to use cloudwatch, you don't need to use Amazon EventBridge.
